COLUMBUS COMMUNITY CHURCH OF THE nAZARENE
OUR PASTORS
Pastors Chris and Teresa Baker have been serving in ministry together for more than 10 years now. They have been co-pastoring at Columbus Community Church of the Nazarene since July, 2015. Together, they share all the joys of pastoring-preaching, discipleship, vision-casting, outreach and loving the people.
Pastor Jon Jordan is our youth pastor and worship leader. He and his family have attended Columbus Community Church of the Nazarene for about 6 years and have been in the Columbus area for 18 years.
Our Church
Formed in 1941, Columbus Community Church of the Nazarene has been making disciples for over 7 decades. We have been in our current location since the 1980s and we are thrilled to take part in the life of the community through events and activities such as Vacation Bible School, the Ecumenical Lent services and the food pantry.
The Nazarene Denomination
The Church of the Nazarene is a worldwide denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.
As a denomination, we hold to the major Christian Creeds regarding the Trinity, the divinity and humanity of Jesus, the life, death and bodily resurrection of Jesus and future hope. The distinctive belief of the Church of the Nazarene is Entire Sanctification. Entire Sanctification marks the believer's total devotion to God, shown through loving God and loving others.
